Senior Electronic Systems Engineer Job Opportunity

SI2 is a hi-tech electronics company whose mission is to create innovative flexible and conformal electronic systems for government applications. SI2 is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for an inventive and motivated Senior Electronics Systems Engineer with experience in design, development and integration of advanced sensor systems into flexible and conformal electronics packages meeting challenging requirements on Government contracts.

Job Description:

As a Senior Engineer at SI2, you will identify and lead proposal, research, design and development projects to support SI2’s current and future product development efforts. You will provide technical expertise in the design and development of structurally integrated electronic systems using conventional and SI2’s proprietary manufacturing technologies. You will work both individually and with a team of engineers, program management, subcontractors and customers to develop ground-breaking solutions to our customer’s requirements.

Desired Experience:

• Design and development of flexible circuits and conformal electronics incorporating advanced electronics packaging, interconnect designs, materials and processes.
• Advanced electronics hardware and software design / development incorporating sensors into data acquisition systems.
• Designing systems that include sensors (such as pressure transducers and accelerometers), data acquisition electronics, signal processing and data storage.
• Demonstrated capabilities in the integration and testing of advanced sensor systems including field test experience.
• Proven ability to interface with customers, understand key requirements and translate the needs into a system design.
• Experience with RF Systems is a plus, but not required.
• Experience on DoD programs.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications and proficiencies:

• US citizenship is required.
• Minimum B.S. degree with 7+ years experience in Electrical Engineering (or related field). Advanced degrees or additional experience a plus.
• Must be able to contribute to multi-disciplinary programs not necessarily confined to his/her area of expertise.
• Must have good organizational, presentation and writing skills; be self motivated, creative, enjoy teamwork and excel in a dynamic environment.
• Occasional travel will be required.
• Must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance.
