Senior Technician Job Opportunity

SI2 is a hi-tech electronics company whose mission is to create innovative flexible and conformal electronic systems for government applications. SI2 is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for a detail-oriented Senior Technician with experience in Product Development, Manufacturing and QC/QA.

Job Description:

As a Senior Technician at SI2, you will be responsible for supporting our product development activities by completing experiments and providing summaries of the results. You will provide technical support in the design and development of structurally integrated electronic systems using conventional and SI2’s proprietary manufacturing technologies. You will work both individually and with a team of engineers, program management, subcontractors and customers to develop solutions to our customer’s requirements.

Desired Experience:

• Equipment operation in a production environment.
• Light machinery operation (mill, lathe, drill press, etc.).
• Working knowledge of QC/QA procedures.
• Assembly and test of electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and sub-systems for both R&D and production programs.
• Experience on DoD programs.
• Experience with RF Systems is a plus, but not required.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications and proficiencies:

• US citizenship is required.
• Must be able to contribute to multi-disciplinary programs not necessarily confined to his/her area of expertise.
• Must have good organizational and writing skills; be self motivated, detail-oriented, enjoy teamwork and excel in a dynamic environment.
• Occasional travel will be required.
• Must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance.
