Joseph M. Kunze, Ph.D. – Founder, President and CEO
Dr. Joseph Kunze is Founder, President and CEO of SI2 Technologies, Inc. Since founding SI2 in 2003, Dr. Kunze has led the company's growth to include in-house RF, microwave and metamaterials design, manufacture and testing which is the basis of SI2's low observable and conformal antenna systems business. Prior to starting SI2, Dr. Kunze was Vice President and Business Unit Leader at Triton Systems, Inc. in Chelmsford, MA. Dr. Kunze's prior experience includes positions at 3M Company in Mendota Height, MN. Throughout his career, Dr. Kunze has worked with a number of Governmet organizations and agencies, as well as other businesses, both large and small. He is very familiar with the organizational, financial, and contractual issues associated with a small business successfully doing business in the defense and aerospace markets. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Worcester, MA), his M.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA). He is an active member in several leading professional societies and organizations including Vistage International (world’s largest Chief Executive Organization), the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA).
Donald G. Flodin – VP Operations
Mr. Don Flodin is responsible for the general management of the staff and programs, as well as for developing new business opportunities. Prior to joining SI2, Mr. Flodin was the Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Planning for Textron Marine and Land Systems . Mr. Flodin’s experience also includes 22 years in various positions at Northrop Grumman’s Oceanic Systems in Annapolis and Northrop Grumman’s facility in Sykesville, MD. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of Business Administration Degree in management and international business from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD.
Noel M. Burgoa – Business Director
Ms. Noel Burgoa is the Business Director at SI2. She is responsible for managing Government contracts, finance and security, as well as administration, human resources and safety. She has worked for a number of high technology and service organizations and was one of SI2’s founding employees. Ms. Burgoa received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Merrimack College and an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Northern Essex Community College. She has also received extensive training in a number of Government compliance areas including DCAA cost accounting systems, DSS facility security, and others.
